Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship

Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship

The mission of NCNW Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Committee is to empower women of African descent, their families and communities. One of the ways that we do this is by presenting information, forums and advocacy that is designed to help women and their families achieve their economic and financial aspirations.

The Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Committee will be a visible and vocal force on Queens’ economic landscape to ensure our voices are included in public policy decisions, and the governing of our communities, schools, housing, hospitals, businesses, and systemic entrepreneurship productive.

The Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Committee will engage in forums that promote economic empowerment, financial literacy, trusts, wills, increasing the number of women owned businesses, generational wealth, collective community wealth, and sustainability.

The Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship Committee will advocate with community organizations, county, city, state agencies, and elected officials to address pressing concerns that negatively impact Black women, their families and communities. Contact the Economic Development Committee at
